COMPENSATION RANGE: $72,000 - $85,000

REPORTS TO: Sr. Sales Analytics Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Commission System Specialist is responsible for the daily and monthly administration, accuracy, and ongoing maintenance of the CORE commission system.
Key responsibilities include monitoring data imports and exports, validating commission data against upstream systems and feeds, maintaining agent and agency records and hierarchy, and overseeing month-end commission processing, calculations, and publishing within required timelines.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for agent and agency questions related to commission system data and functionality, documents processes and procedures, tests system changes and new functionality, and partners with Sales Analytics and Sales Management to model, implement, and monitor commission, bonus, and incentive plan updates.
The role also provides administrative and reporting support to the Sales Department and Regional Sales Managers as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Maintain the CORE Commission System and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure data flows, calculations, and reporting are timely and accurate.
- Maintain agent and agency records and hierarchy within the CORE system in alignment with HR/payroll and Data Services/ODS tables and systems.
- Oversee, validate, and publish month-end commission processing and output, including coordination with Brokerage, Accounting, Human Resources, and Sales Management to meet applicable requirements and deadlines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for agent and agency questions related to the CORE Commission System.
- Support Sales Management and Sales Analytics with commission-related data queries, reporting needs, research, and analysis.
- Identify and recommend system improvement opportunities for review and consideration.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of enhancements, new reports, screens, and functionality in the CORE Commission System.
- Represent the Sales Department on cross-departmental committees and system-related initiatives.
- Conduct CORE Commission System training for new agents and other users as needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Attend offsite department events and meetings, with travel up to 10%.
- Assist Sales Management with preparing reports and presentations.
- Provide general departmental administrative support in coordination with the Sales Administrative Coordinator.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Prior experience with sales commission processing, compensation administration, payroll, accounting, or sales operations a plus.
- Experience validating, reconciling, or maintaining data across multiple business systems.
MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using reporting or analytical tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills.
- High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain system data and processes clearly.
- Professional, service-oriented approach when supporting agents, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to document processes and procedures clearly and consistently.
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and manage recurring monthly processing cycles.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll, compensation, and commission information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with a Commission System or similar compensation, payroll, or sales operations platform.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Experience supporting system enhancements, user acceptance testing, reporting improvements, or process automation.
- Insurance industry experience or familiarity with agent and agency hierarchy structures.
