Overview
Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Inside Sales Manager to lead our inside sales team in delivering exceptional service and results. This individual will play a crucial role in guiding a team of sales professionals in selling Property & Casualty insurance products. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of insurance products and sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach a high-performing inside sales team, focusing on selling Property & Casualty insurance products.
- Client Engagement: Engage with prospects and clients across multiple channels (inbound/outbound phone, email, chat, text) to assess insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage.
- System Navigation: Seamlessly navigate multiple systems and applications to ensure a smooth customer interaction.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline from lead to close, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation. (All post-sale servicing of customer accounts are managed by our Policy services, Agency Services, and claims teams.)
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics for both individual and team goals.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies, scripts, and workflows to drive performance and efficiency.
- KPI Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, policy contracts, and state insurance regulations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align lead generation and campaign efforts.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilize CRM applications, sales tools, and customer engagement tactics effectively.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Active Property and Casualty insurance license (required).
- Experience: Proven experience in inside sales management.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products, policy contracts, and underwriting guidelines.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of building and maintaining high-performing teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Team Orientation: Ability to thrive in a goal-oriented, team-focused environment.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HubSpot CRM, internal application systems, Microsoft Outlook, chat tools (e.g., Slack, Teams), and quoting platforms including Applied Rater.
