POSITION TITLE: Insurance Sales Agent, Isle of Wight, VA

STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Isle of Wight County office (with Travel to meet with existing and new clients)

REPORTS TO: Agency Manager

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Average First-Year Total Compensation: $52,000 – $125,000 annually (inclusive of base salary)

Base Salary: $37,000 – $52,000 annually (dependent upon location and established book of business)

Virginia Farm Bureau desires to hire an Insurance Sales Agent to join our team in the ­­­Isle of Wight Main Farm Bureau Office located in Isle of Wight, VA. This position will be full time on-site at our Isle of Wight Branch office. No relocation offered.

Preferred Requirements:

• Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or ability to obtain these with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class.
• Must provide proof of passing licensing test

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Good time management skills and the ability to work independently
• Prior sales experience (any industry) helpful but not required
