POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for working with new and existing brokers on coordinating enrollment, group implementation, creating proposals, processing new business, creating and finalize renewal packages, servicing accounts & educating broker/agents on insurance products.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Process all small group renewals using carrier guidelines
Request, draft and process insurance proposals for various broker/agents.
Educate and train broker/agents on insurance products/benefits.
Process new group applications, contracts and other paperwork.
Act as a liaison between carrier and Brokers resolving documentation, rate, timeliness, etc. issues
Update and maintain electronic files
Create renewal packages, distribute/email to brokers, mail to accounts
Attend trade shows and agent meetings.
Service and resolve issues with broker/agent accounts.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Answer phone inquiries
Attend carrier seminars
Complete reports as assigned by Marketing Manager
All other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager
Slight travel required <10%

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree or equivalent work experience
State health and life insurance (or the ability to obtain within three months of hire)
Sixteen hours of health and life continuing education credits � every two years

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

Strong detail orientation
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
Proficient in Microsoft Access or other windows based database program.
Effective in both verbal and written communications
Excellent organizational skills
Proven customer focus
