Digital Adoption and Solutions Specialist

This role is an IS position that is deeply embedded in an assigned business unit(s) to ensure the successful engagement, adoption, and usage of Microsoft (M365) solutions. This function also requires being familiar with other incumbent and non-M365 technologies in developing solutions for business units. This individual will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, technology, and training. You will be an integral part of project teams and work directly with stakeholders, sponsors, and project team members to drive effective change management strategies and practices. Primary assignment for this role will be to provide the above services and engagement with the President of the Virginia Farm Bureau and its direct reports and associated business areas.

  • Understand business needs/challenges and develop solutions using knowledge of M365 and the incumbent technology portfolio
  • Perform and lead new technology evaluations working closely with the project management office, infrastructure, application teams, and cybersecurity departments
  • Work with business departments to understand legal, regulatory, and industry drivers to understand their needs and develop solutions, training and support materials that address the business unit’s specific requirements.
  • Provide ongoing training for key capabilities including the creation of reuseable training material, FAQs, how-to and ‘how-should’ types of training.
  • Recommend innovative solutions to business challenges and needs focusing on ROI, establishing key adoption metrics and leverage data to identify opportunities to ensure ongoing value.

This role has ownership of short term solution design (1-3 months) and execution of functional IS strategy as defined by IT leadership. Problems faced are moderate, requiring some investigation and analysis to ensure solutions meet best practices. Qualified candidates will have the ability to influence others to accept standard practices and approaches, with the ability to communicate and influence executive leadership. This role regularly interacts with executive leadership and others concerning matters of significance to the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES

· Work closely with department navigator on strategic projects and initiatives including coordination with the PMO.

· Provide training and guidance on technology products to ensure maximum value is realized from solutions

· Balance value-generation of solutions with their cost, reliability, and scalability to help manage sprawl.

· Conduct research and analysis to identify gaps in software adoption and usage, and work to understand, address, and mitigate these gaps.

· Create and implement roadmaps and change management plans to facilitate the introduction of new solutions to the organization including assessing the impact of the changes, identifying potential risks and obstacles, and developing strategies to mitigate them.

· Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies related to software adoption and user experience.

· Familiar with IS standards, architecture, and cybersecurity environments in order to ensure solutions align with company standards
