Virginia Farm Bureau is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team!
LOCATION
This position is based out of our beautiful West Creek Office located in Goochland.
Hybrid work schedule offered, 3 home-based workdays and 2 in office workdays after a training period in office. No relocation offered.
Office hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Position Summary:
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst role at Virginia Farm Bureau is ideal for a QA professional with extensive experience in automation design and execution. This individual will have an in-depth understanding of modern testing practices and will be able to assist with the establishment of testing standards.
Primary Duties:
- Develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test cases and scripts
- Creates and is responsible for the development and maintenance of test plans, automated and manual, on projects of all sizes and complexities with minimal guidance
- Designs and executes automated test cases to monitor and track system performance
- Independently manage test planning activities and facilitate test sessions and reviews
- Creates effective test cases based on user requirements
- Performs setup and verification of test data, executes test scripts, and verifies results
- Perform various types of tests including functional, negative, bounds, system, integration, and regression testing
- Works with IT and business areas to ensure completeness of functional and technical test cases
- Review system/business requirements and technical specifications to flush out test cases
- Develops a comprehensive knowledge of the components of our insurance processing system to effectively engage in business requirement sessions
- Participates in project team sessions to better understand functionality and ensure proper test case alignment
- Review test results for compliance with specifications and clearly report discrepancies
- Ensure effective use of JIRA for the management and tracking of all work
- Partner with project managers to identify and remove impediments to QA activities
- Analyze business and quality processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Mentor & assist junior QA team members
Minimum Education / Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years Quality Assurance experience
- Experience in testing automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, UFT One, Python, Testim.io, Pytest using Playwrights
Minimum Skill Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work within a team environment and collaborate with other professionals
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and scripting languages
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience using Jira
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent Time Management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of insurance systems and business processes
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
